2018 Big Bend Ranch Rodeo Participants

The Francis Ranch and the 7V Ranch have partnered to compete in the BBRR. The Francis Ranch, owned and managed by Rob Francis, is a cow/calf operation located in Matador, TX and brands a CF. The 7V Ranch, owned by John and Jana Brothers and managed by John Brothers is also a cow/calf operation located in Paducah, TX and brands a 7V. Robert Francis will captain the team and Dylan Squires will ride the bronc and John Brothers, Colton Russell and Coley Flowers round out the team.

The Goldsmith and Johnson Ranches have joined together to compete in this BBRR. Both ranches, cow/calf operations with yearling programs, established in 1985 are located in Baird, TX. The Goldsmith Ranch is owned and managed by Steve Goldsmith and brands a T4. The Johnson Ranch is owned and managed by Brad Johnson and brands JB. Steve Goldsmith will captain the team and Tanner Hart will ride the bronc. Completing the team are Brad Johnson, Chase Goldsmith, Scott Mackey and Chad Johnson.

Pitchfork Cattle Operations, owned by the Williams Family and managed by Brooks Hodges, was founded in 1883. The ranch is a cow/calf operation location in Dickens, King, and Jefferson counties and brands a PITCHFORK. Manager Brooks Hodges will captain the team and John Jones will ride the bronc. Clint Jones, KC Green, Clay Timmons and Taylor Blackwell round out the team.

Smith Cattle Company is a cow/calf operation with a yearling program and a feedyard operation located in Channing, Fairfield, and Mt. Pleasant, TX and Mexico. The company is owned by Mike Smith and managed by Clint Jackson in the northern division and Dewey Dyer in the southern division. The company was founded in 1984 and brands a BAR AK. Clint Jackson will captain the team and Colten Jackson will ride the bronc and rounding out the team are Wesley Jackson, Dewey Dyer, Brandon McBroom and Cedar Stevenson.

Swenson Land and Cattle, owned by the Swenson Family, is managed by Mark Voss and was founded in 1882. The ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands a SMS. Mark Voss will captain the team and Bonner Voss will ride the bronc. Rounding out the team are Levi Myers, and Ron Redford.

The BBRR 2017 Champion Thompson Ranch, owned by Larry Thompson and managed by Tyler Thompson is a cow/calf operation located in Munday, TX. The ranch was founded in 1943 and brands a DOUBLE T. Manager Tyler Thompson will captain the team and Chace Thompson will ride the bronc. Tyson Thompson, Kreece Thompson, Chad Williams and Kolton Burnett round out the team.

The Veale Ranch and the TeePee Ranch have joined forces for the 2018 BBRR. The Veale Ranch, owned by Ekstrom Enterprises and managed by Buster Frierson, brands a V TOP BAR and was established in 1935 and the TeePee Ranch, owned and managed by Zack Burson, brands a TEEPEE. Both ranches are cow/calf operations with yearling programs and are located in Parker and Tarrant counties. Buster Frierson will captain the team and Kye Fuston will ride the bronc. Rounding out the team are John C. Brian and Zack Burson.

Wilson Cattle and Haystack Cattle have joined forces for the 2018 BBRR. Located in Hereford, TX, Wilson Cattle, owned and managed by Rodey Wilson is a cow/calf operation with a yearling program and brands a U UP U DOWN. Jed Middleton owns and manages Haystack Cattle, a cow/calf operation located in Dickens, TX that brands a HAYSTACK. Rodey Wilson will captain the team and Mike Crump will ride the bronc. Rounding out the team are Jed Middleton, Tanner Allen and Clay Paige.

The Cook Canyon Ranch, owned by Trevor Rees-Jones and managed by Marc Bartoskewitz, is a cow/calf operation with a small stocker program. Located in Eastland, Shackelford, Throckmorton and Haskell counties, the ranch was established in 2007 and brands a CC. Kris Hubbard will captain the team and Laramy Richardson will ride the bronc. Rounding out the team are Jake Saunders, Marc Sanderson and Buddy Thomas.

Diamond H Ranch and Plus C Cattle Company have joined forces to enter the 2018 BBRR. Diamond H and Plus C are both cow/calf operations located in Gunter, TX. The Diamond H brands a DIAMOND H and the Plus C brands a +C. Manager Jered Sikes will captain the team and Ty Looper will ride the bronc. Rounding out the team are Colt Carter and Joe Mac Boggeman.

Lochhead and 7 X Ranches have joined forces for the 2018 BBRR. The ranches are cow/calf operations located in Terrell, TX. Lochhead brands a DOUBLE L AND 7X brands a SEVEN X. Lochhead ranch owner, Cash Lochhead, will captain the team and Chase Pope, Jr. will ride the bronc. 7X manager Macawley Morow, Chase Pope, Sr. and Crockett Crothers complete the team roster.

The 2014 BBRR Champion Angell Ranch is a cow/calf operation located in southeastern New Mexico. Founded in 1970, the ranch is owned by Darr Angell and managed by Bill Angell and brands a U BAR. Bill Angell will captain the team and Drew Baker will ride the bronc. Rounding out the team are Clayton Nicholson and Derek Fields.

Both yearling operations, the Rafter 4 Ranch and Redwine Cattle Co. have joined forces to enter the 2018 BBRR. Located in Lazbuddie, TX, the Rafter 4 is owned and managed by Tyler Rice and brands a RAFTER 4. TC Redwine owns and manages the Redwine Cattle Co, which brands a TR and is located in Throckmorton, TX. Tyler Rice will captain the team and Brady Clark will ride the bronc and rounding out the team are Brady Biery, Tell Good, TC Redwine and Trey Propps.

The Rocker b Ranch is a cow/calf operation located in Barnhart, TX. Founded in 1871, the ranch is owned by the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and managed by Dennis Webb. The ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands a ROCKER b. Tony Martinez will captain the team and Dean Wadsworth will ride the bronc and completing the team are Tyler Dunn, Caleb Lowery and Ty Self.

The Rose Ranch and the Bryson Cattle Co. have partnered up for the 2018 BBRR. Both teams are cow/calf operations with yearling programs located in Forestburg, TX. Clifton Brown owns and manages the Rose Ranch, founded in 2003, and branding a ROSE. Matt Bryson owns and manages the Bryson Cattle Co., founded in 1994 and branding a MB. Clifton Brown will captain the team and Pat Butler will ride the bronc. Rounding out the team are Ethan Hager, Matt Bryson, Cameron Finney and Garrett Johnson.

The Detwiler Cattle Company and the Heck Cattle Company have partnered for the 2018 BBRR. Chad Detwiler founded Detwiler Cattle Company in 2010 and also manages the cow/calf operation. The company brands a HEART T and is located in Childress. Cody Heck owns and manages the Heck Cattle Company, a yearling operation that brands a C SPEAR and is located in Clarendon. Both owners will co-captain the team and have chosen Cutter McClain to ride the bronc. Rounding out the roster are Randy Crump and Saydee Jo Detwiler.
