Crossroads Ranches

Crossroads Ranches, from Elida, New Mexico, was established in 1999. Owned by Crossroads West Phoenix, LLC and operated by Jarryd Burris, this ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands a CROSSROADS. Pettigrew Ranch/White Ranch

Pettigrew Ranch from Fort Sumner, New Mexico, and White Ranch from Santa Rosa, New Mexico, have partnered to compete in this year’s BBRR. Pettigrew Ranch is owned by the Pettigrew Family and managed by Kit Pettigrew. Established in the 1960s, this ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands a KP. White Ranch is owned by the White Family and managed by Kasey White. Established in 1986, this ranch is also a cow/calf operation and brands an OPEN SIX NINE. Team members are Kasey White as captain, Chris Booth as bronc rider, Tee Jay White, Kit Pettigrew and Scott Lewis. The team has nominated Malibu, a 6-year-old grey mare and Gator, a 7-year-old sorrel gelding for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

Winders Cattle/Smith Cattle

Winders Cattle Co. from Clovis, New Mexico, and Smith Cattle Co. from Earth, Texas, have partnered to compete in this year’s BBRR. Winders Cattle Co. is owned and operated by James Winders. Established in 2021, this ranch is a yearling operation and brands a ROCKING JW. Smith Cattle Co. is owned by Riley and Tori Smith and managed by Riley Smith. This ranch is a yearling operation and brands a DIAMOND QUARTER CIRCLE. Team members are Riley Smith as captain, Mike Crump as bronc rider, James Winders, Krece Winders, Riley Smith, Wyatt Mask and Scout Smith. The team has nominated Stop Me Short, a 6-year-old red roan gelding and Fantastic Hal, a 4-year-old sorrel gelding for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

Four Sixes Ranch - Dixon Creek Division

6666 Ranch - Dixon Creek Division from Panhandle, Texas, was established in 1870. Owned by Burnett Ranches, LLC and operated by Dusty Burson, this ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands the FOUR SIXES. Team members are Dusty Burson as captain, Zach Peters as bronc rider, Colter Hampton, Zane Herrin and Zane Davis. The team has nominated Sixes Lodge “PayPal”, a 7-year-old sorrel gelding and Sixes Frenchman “Curley”, a 9-year-old gelding for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

Smith Cattle Company

Smith Cattle Company, from Channing, Texas, is owned by Mike Smith and managed by Clint Jackson. Established is 1984, this ranch is a cow/calf, seed stock and yearling operation and brands a BAR AK. Team members are Clint Jackson as team captain, Colten Jackson as bronc rider, Wesley Jackson, Wesley Gudgell, Taylor Burkett and Monty Teykl. The team has nominated Stevies Stylish, a 5-year-old sorrel stallion, and Jittery, a 9-year-old red roan gelding for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

T4 Cattle Company LLC

T4 Cattle Company LLC, from Montana, New Mexico, was established in 1902. Operated by the Bidegain Family, this ranch is a cow/calf and horse operation and brands a T4. Team members are Bryan Clark as captain, Gatlenn Huddleston as bronc rider, Ethan Stork, Ransom Brownless, Carl Webb and J.D. Henry. The team has nominated Apache, a 5-year-old bay roan gelding and Raven, a 9-year-old bay gelding for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

Wilson Cattle LLC, from Canyon, Texas, is owned and operated by Rodney Wilson. Established in 2006, this ranch is a cow/calf and horse operation and brands a U UP U DOWN. Team members are Rodey Wilson as captain, Zach Vickers as bronc rider, Brooke Wilson, Cayce Joe Lewis, True Lacina and Jaylin McCright. The team has nominated TicTick Boom Boon, a 4- year-old blue roan stallion for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

Rocker b Ranch

Rocker b Ranch, from Barnhart, Texas, owned by the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and managed by Cody Webb, was established in 1871. The ranch is a cow/calf operation, and it brands a ROCKER B. Team members are Tony Martinez as captain, Luke Holland as bronc rider, Bailey Boydstun, Prescott Falcon, Kelton Carver and Jack Brooks. The team has nominated SJR Hirey, a 10-year-old sorrel stallion, and RBR Chex Thisone Out, a 6-year-old black gelding for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

Baca Ranch, from Texas and New Mexico, was established in 1993. Owned by the Baca Family and managed by Tye and Brant Baca, this ranch is a cow/calf, yearling and feed yard operation and brands a JM. Team members are Jake Baca as captain and bronc rider, Zane Peters, Jayton Baca, Colton Kingston, Brady Beery and Cooper Jones. The team has nominated Sweethangs Wildchild, an 8-year-old roan gelding for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.

Tate Ranch/Berry Cattle Company

Tate Ranch, from McLean, Texas, and Berry Cattle Company, from Happy, Texas, have partnered to compete in this years BBRR. Tate Ranch is owned by Stan Tate and managed by Kate Tate. Established in 1991, this ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands a RAFTER T. Berry Cattle Company is owned by Levi Berry and managed by Layton Berry. This ranch is a yearling operation and brands an F BAR. Team members are Kate Tate as captain, Hadley Barnett as bronc rider, Layton Berry, Reece Robertson and Tyler Schilling.

Cook Canyon Ranch

Cook Canyon Ranch, from Eastland County Texas, was established in 2007. Owned by Cook Canyon Ranch, Ltd. and managed by Mark Bartoskewitz, this ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands a CC BAR. Team members are Kris Hubbard as captain, Rowdy Bradley as bronc rider, Ty Self and Jake Saunders.

Geronimo Ranch

Geronimo Ranch, from southeast Arizona, was established in 2012. Operated by Travis Nevins, this ranch is a cow/calf operation and brands a BAR S BAR. Team members are Travis Nevins as captain, Ty Nevins as bronc rider, Heidi Nevins and Jack Nevins. The team has nominated TB, a 9-year-old black gelding, and Marlene, an 8-year-old sorrel mare, for the Apache Adams Top Horse Award.
